CS:GO 10th Anniversary

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive turned 10 years old on Sunday, August 21, and to celebrate, Valve has released a new and complete patch that adds new content to its competitive shooter, although for now, there is no sign of the rumored Source 2 engine.

Instead, the most interesting highlight of this 10th-anniversary celebration patch is the arrival of the Tuscan map to the competitive rotation following its official release on the Workshop, as well as the return of Anubis and Breach (also to the competitive list) and the Primetime and Blagai maps to Wingman.

A special capsule with 10th-anniversary stickers is also being released, featuring over 60 community-submitted designs and a new lenticular quality. Additionally, until Monday, August 22, CS:GO players with Prime status can obtain their birthday coin by earning experience in their first match of the week.

CS:GO is stronger than ever

According to Valve themselves, CS:GO is currently stronger than ever, with an average of over 20 million unique monthly players during the last year, and community support of over 70 million dollars raised for esports tournaments like the Majors, which have reached an audience of 2.7 million simultaneous viewers.
